The EDCV-1 keeps cylinders under pressure, protecting the system from pipe leaks. The EDCV-1 allows two single-acting hydraulic circuits to be connected together.

DOUBLE CHECK VALVE EDCV-1

For added safety, especially on the single acting cylinders mounted on the Slide, a double pilot operated check valve can be installed. EAS Change Systems offers this valve as under the type name EDCV -1.

DOUBLE CONTROL, DOUBLE SECURITY

The EDCV-1 is a double check valve that increases safety on the slide hydraulic clamp circuit:

the operation is basically the same as that of the single check valve CB-1: keeping the cylinders under pressure, even in the event of a leakage in the main hydraulic line between the pump and the double check valve.

As shown in the image below, the Slide Main Pipe (A) is also doubled:

First, there is one main line on the slide plate, and then the valve divides the main line into two circuits connecting the clamping cylinders crosswise. (Think of the corners of a square.)
This ensures that if there is a leakage in one of the two lines after the double check valve EDCV-1, the other line will remain pressurized, keeping half of the clamping systems clamped and preventing the mold from falling.
