BryScan™ is a patented Swiss technology from Bry-Air PROKON.
This technology provides real-time moisture measurement in the production line (during production), ensuring the quality of each polymer type.
It determines the core moisture content independently of the density, color and surface texture of the measured material.
The Moisture Minder™ continuously measures and displays the moisture content in percent or PPM (parts per million) in the process as a trend graph. This enables continuous process monitoring and deviations from the set value are immediately visible.
It is designed for all types of plastic pellets, flakes or regrind, including PET, Nylon, ABS and more.
Suitable for plastic granules with wide temperature range from 20°C to 200°C and material throughput from 10 to 2500 kg/h.
It is a powerful instrument used in industries such as food, grain milling, extrusion, injection molding, building materials, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The measurement technique is based on the relatively high dielectric permittivity of water (80-30) compared to the dielectric properties of polymers (2-5). It also includes the measurement of the diamagnetic properties of water. The variation of the water content in the product would result in a large variation in the combined dielectric constant, which would then be measured by monitoring the changes in the dielectric signal.
Online, real-time moisture analysis is displayed on a touchscreen control.
This control can display data for up to eight sensors.
In addition, this production process information can also be controlled remotely by a PC, tablet or smartphone.
Moisture Minder™ can collect dynamic information about the production process, activate an alert, optimize production allocation, achieve advanced production and track the production process of products.
