The latest generation of magnetic clamping systems from Pressmag LP is ideal for large capacity injection molding machines. The long pole of the Pressmag LP is oval in shape for high tension and easy polarity reversal.

The long pile of the Pressmag LP is oval in shape, in contrast to the rectangular pile of the Pressmag HP. This pre-assembled plug in the oval pole design makes polarity reversal easy.
In addition, this system offers a plate thickness of 55 mm with touchscreen control and a metal-on-metal clamping surface. The force can therefore be measured precisely.

LONG POLE TECHNOLOGY

EAS Change Systems’ long-pole technology is used for larger machines because the magnetic flux (tension force) is always directed towards the die, even if the pole is only partially covered.
Longer poles for larger machines:

  • have more tension;
  • reduce the spreading flux to a minimum;
  • reduce the air gap to a minimum.

The frame of the Pressmag LP system is very hard so that the plate cannot bend, so the air gap is minimal and the machine cannot come to a stop due to loss of tension.

FLEXIBLE AUTOMATION IS THE FUTURE

In the future, injection molding will involve much more than producing acceptable parts in rapid succession. Especially if “just-in-time” delivery is requested, or direct “just-in-sequence” delivery of parts to the production line. In those cases, flexible automation of plastic production is the only option.

The 8-inch touchscreen with full-color graphics makes operation a breeze.
The controller not only monitors the status of clamping and magnetizing, but also guides you step-by-step through a safe process with built-in safety controls.
This optional but very valuable feature gives the LP system an edge in operational safety: the actual force is compared to the set reference force.
Operation is prevented if the actual clamping force is too low and the die could fall.
Fast and easy maintenance reducing downtime.
Thanks to the newly designed magnetic plates, polarity reversal can be done on site and the plates do not have to be sent to the EAS factory for repair.
